Mr GREG WARREN (Campbelltown) (18:21): Wests Leagues Club is a staple in our community, under the leadership of Daniel Perkiss and chairperson Alan Buxton. The club has grown over 50 years and recently celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. My colleague the member for Macquarie Fields, who is in the Chamber, attended the dinner. One of the most important things about the Wests Leagues Club is its philanthropy and its support of our community and our local sporting communities. Whether it be the South West Sydney Academy of Sport, South West Community Transport, the mighty East Campbelltown Eagles, netball or rugby league, the club supports each and every organisation within Campbelltown. I was delighted to be at a recent event where the club hosted nearly every disability support organisation around the south-west—and did that for nothing. I believe that that is a representative of the good nature of Wests Leagues Club. I thank the club for 50 years of service and wish it well for another 50 years and more.
