UNITED NATIONS DAY

That this House:

(1) Notes that today is United Nations Day, marking the 77th anniversary of the United Nations Charter coming into force on 24 October 1945.

(2) Acknowledges the principles of the United Nations and pays respects to all Australians, military, police, and civilians, who are supporting United Nations activities or have served in United Nations and other peace operations.
