Mr GREG WARREN (Campbelltown)—I would like to take this opportunity to recognise The Smith Family and their Saver Plus program which enables individuals on low incomes in Campbelltown and beyond to build financial capability and achieve education-related goals. Since its introduction, Saver Plus has supported 1,072 participants, 518 of whom are single parents with dependent children. Participants complete free, online workshops covering budgeting, goal-setting, banking, superannuation and debt management with a dedicated coach to set savings targets. Collectively, participants have deposited $596,980.90 into ANZ Progress Saver accounts, with ANZ contributing $438,639.45 in matched funds for school fees, laptops, uniforms and approved expenses. Evaluations show average financial wellbeing scores increasing from 35 to 66, with 87% of participants reporting greater control over their finances and 92% expressing increased confidence. Furthermore, 84% of participants continue to save regularly over seven years later. The program strengthens budgets and spending power, supports local education outcomes and contributes to financial resilience across the Campbelltown community.
