ONE YEAR OF THE FIRST HOME BUYERS ASSISTANCE SCHEME

By Greg Warren MP

That this House:

(1) Notes that the current housing affordability crisis is making it harder than ever for people, particularly young people, to buy their first home.

(2) Recognises that on 1 July 2024 it was one year since the Government's implementation of the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme, the most generous one in Australia.

(3) Acknowledges the Government is assisting over 33,000 first home buyers across New South Wales by reducing or waiving their stamp duty obligations when purchasing their first home, including 1,144 people in the Campbelltown Local Government Area by 1 July 2024.
