That this House:

(1) Notes that June 6 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, know colloquially as D-Day.

(2) Notes the Australian involvement in the operation, including the more than 3,000 Australian Defence Force personnel that took part in air raids and naval operations.

(3) Acknowledges the sacrifices Australian Defence Force personnel made in the European theatre of the Second World War. Lest we forget.
