That this House:

(1) Recognises Foster and Kinship Care Week from 8 to 14 September, which celebrates the remarkable difference foster and kinship carers make to the lives of some of the state's 14,000 children in out-of-home care.

(2) Applauds foster and kinship carers for their dedication, compassion, care, and for the meaningful impact they have in our communities.

(3) Strongly encourages anyone in the community to consider becoming a foster carer to provide a safe and loving home to vulnerable children in need.
