Schools in Campbelltown are set to benefit from $8 million in funding to complete planned maintenance and local projects which will be getting underway in the 2024/25 school year.

As part of the Minns Labor Government’s record $27.9 billion investment into the Education and Early Learning portfolio, $600 million was put aside for school maintenance work across the state, including planned and preventative maintenance and essential repairs.

Rosemeadow Public School will benefit from repairs to external movement area stairs and the replacement of dilapidated fencing on a retaining wall. At Campbelltown North Primary School, old timber windows, that were not fit for purpose, will be replaced with modern and effective framing. Essential sewage line repairs will be completed at John Warby Public School alongside essential student facilities maintenance.

Additionally, the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and Early Learning Prue Car has given the green light for equipment upgrades at Campbelltown Performing Arts High School, following representations from Greg Warren MP.

The school, a premier performing arts school is responsible for producing numerous Schools Spectacular feature artists and recognisable local performers. However, technological issues, stemming from outdated equipment have begun to hamper productions. The proposal for equipment has been approved by the Department of Education with the next step being a purchase order.
